Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a dedicated Food Tech teacher to work within a SEND-focused setting at Hilden Park, Tonbridge. You will deliver practical Food Tech lessons to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder and SEMH needs, helping them learn, develop and gain confidence.

Applicants should hold Qualified Teacher Status and have prior teaching experience. The role offers strong support from therapists and TAs, with ongoing training, generous holidays and a clear progression path.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status is required.
• Experience teaching Food Technology in a SEND setting is preferred.
• Ability to build relationships with pupils with ASD/SEMH and diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Food Tech lessons to pupils aged 8–16 with ASD/SEMH needs.
• Create a supportive learning environment that raises self-esteem and progress.
• Collaborate with in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy staff to support outcomes.

Hilden Park schoolis a purpose built, brand new, state of the art school, catering primarily for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger’s and Speech, Language and Communication needs.
