Job summary

Compass Group UK is recruiting a part-time Cleaner to join our defence-focused cleaning and facilities teams, contracted to 25 hours per week. The role supports 250+ UK military establishments and secure environments, with shifts 5 out of 7 days.

As a Cleaner you’ll help deliver excellent customer service across defence facilities. The role is with Compass Group UK&I ESS, a sector serving Defence, Government and Energy services.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to work to a high standard with attention to detail.
• Flexible and willing to cover shifts 5 out of 7 days.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard.
• Dust, wash surfaces and touchpoints to maintain hygienic environments.
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste and restocking cleaning supplies.
• Work alongside cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required, including spillages.

We're currently recruiting a part time Cleaner to join our cleaning and facilities teams for Defence, contracted to 25 hours per week. As one of our dedicated Cleaners, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our clients and customers. Here's an idea of what your shift patterns will be: 5 out of 7 days

Please note: This role is contracted to 49.2 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working alongside our cleaning and facilities teams to keep environments safe and hygienic for every client and customer
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Monitoring and re-stocking cleaning supplies.

Our ideal Cleaner will:

• Have brilliant organisational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy working in a hands-on role
• Have had cleaning experience in a similar role, although this is not essential
• Have a flexible approach to working
