Job summary

Mount Charles Group is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our team at Friends School, Lisburn. The role involves assisting in the preparation, service and sales of food and beverages while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work 18 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 08:00–14:00, in a friendly, family‑oriented business that values its people and offers benefits such as pension, annual leave, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service focus and ability to upsell when appropriate.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team members.
• Good understanding of HACCP regulations and basic food hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, service and sales of food and beverages.
• Prepare service counter and ensure correct containers and utensils.
• Provide high level of customer service consistently.
• Work with team to ensure on-time service and high standards.
• Carry out cleaning duties and maintain kitchen/service areas.
• Assist with waste removal and equipment cleanliness.
• Handle cash duties as required.
