Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking an Evening Food Service Assistant at Ipswich Hospital. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintain a clean kitchen, and provide friendly patient-focused service in a hospital setting.

The role is evenings, part-time (15 hours per week) with a focus on delivering high-quality food and a safe, hygienic environment. Training and uniform are provided, with opportunities for further development.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or food service is preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and during busy service periods.
• Basic food-handling knowledge and hygiene awareness.
• Friendly, professional attitude toward patients, visitors and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and serving of hot and cold meals.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene.
• Follow recipes and product instructions to ensure meal consistency and quality.
• Break down and clean stations at the end of service.

What you’ll do:

• Assist with the setup and serving of hot and cold meals from counters and steam tables
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene standards
• Follow recipes and product instructions to ensure meal consistency and quality
• Break down and clean stations at the end of meal service

What you bring:

• A friendly, professional attitude and respect for patients, visitors, and colleagues
