Leeds Conservatoire, part of Luminate Education Group, is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our catering team in Leeds. You will help deliver high-quality food and friendly service to students, staff and visitors, with a focus on hygiene and efficiency.

Based at Leeds Conservatoire, the role requires 32.5 hours per week, with occasional evenings and weekends. Actual salary for 32.5 hours per week is £22,792.16 per annum.

About the Role

32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday however some evening and weekend work will be required

Are you looking for a varied and rewarding role in a friendly, fast-paced environment? We are seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our catering team, helping to deliver high-quality food and excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive team where you will play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our students, staff, and visitors.

You will assist with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient service for all customers.

Based at Leeds Conservatoire which is easily accessible and close to the city's transport links, shops, and amenities.

*Actual salary for 32.5 hours per week is £22,792.16 per annum.

What You Will Do

To ensure the customers are given a prompt and efficient service and expectations are consistently exceeded.

To project a willing and helpful attitude to customers at all times, seek appropriate knowledge of food items, and keep service areas clean and fully stocked.

To work within the kitchen area to support the chef preparing light dishes such as wraps, sandwiches, fruit and yoghurt pot, paninis and salads etc

To work alongside the Bar and Catering Manager to order stock items and ensure FOH displays are accurate.

Use of an EPOS till.

To maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the café and cooking areas, including washing up and cleaning of equipment.

To ensure food safety requirements are adhered to at all times and all due diligence records are completed accurately.

Any other duties that are specific to the department.

Ability to participate in evening/weekend work as required.
