Job summary

Lord Wandsworth College is seeking a part-time Catering Assistant to support the busy dining operation. The role involves clearing and cleaning tables, trays, crockery and cutlery, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy and welcoming for staff, pupils and guests.

The team values healthy eating and high-quality service. Two shift options exist: 25 hours/week (9.30am–2.30pm, Mon–Fri, 33 weeks term time plus 3 weeks non-term) and 15 hours/week (4.45pm–7.45pm, Mon–Fri, 33 weeks term time only).

Job description

The primary purpose of the role is to support the busy catering department with food service to staff, pupils and guests. This will include clearing and cleaning tables, trays, crockery and cutlery as well as ensuring the dining area is kept tidy and clean. The catering department is very well equipped, and the catering team take pride in seeking new ideas of how best to vary customer choice, continue to promote 'healthy eating' for all and add value to the customer service ethos.

Contract and Hours

• 25 hours per week: 9.30am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, permanent, 33 weeks per year term time, plus 3 weeks non-term time
• 15 hours per week: 4.45pm to 7.45pm, Monday to Friday, permanent, 33 weeks per year term time only
