Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a reliable Food Service Assistant to join the team at HMRC Glasgow RC. You will support catering operations by maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen, dining areas, and café while delivering excellent customer service.

Role requires carrying out catering and cleaning duties, stock handling, till operation, and adherence to H&S, HACCP, and COSHH procedures. Part-time pattern with shift hours includes mornings, weekdays, 20 hours per week.

• Follow Health & Safety guidelines and quality procedures consistently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out catering and cleaning duties across the site.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, café and dining areas.
• Support pot wash and ensure crockery, cutlery, equipment and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Receive deliveries, check temperatures and store goods correctly using stock rotation procedures.
• Replenish catering stations with tea, coffee, milk and other refreshments.
• Operate the till and complete cashing-up procedures following training.
• Follow Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH and HACCP procedures.
• Report any faults, hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond professionally to customer queries or complaints.
• Assist with the movement of goods and furniture when required.
• Attend training and team meetings as required.
• Support colleagues and provide additional cover when needed.
