Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our education catering teams in Cambridge. The role focuses on delivering high-quality meals while maintaining exceptional service in a school setting.

You will support chefs, uphold safety standards and contribute to a positive, collaborative kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, well organised and customer-focused, able to work flexibly across shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service within education catering is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Flexible and customer focused with a can-do attitude.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and well organised with strong attention to detail.
• Team player who enjoys succeeding as a team and delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive working environment through effective communication and teamwork.

Job Description

The essential ingredient at the heart of our business is our people so we are searching for an experienced Food Service Assistant with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.

As a Food Service Assistant you will…

• Foster a positive working environment by demonstrating effective communication, and teamwork.
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, always following health and safety regulations.
• Assist the Chefs in all aspects of food preparation, production, and service.
• Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes meet the company's standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with the catering team to execute special events, themed dinners, and other culinary initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ideally have food production experience working within Education catering
• Have good Health & Safety knowledge
• Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused

• Have excellent organization skills
• Demonstrate great attention to detail
