Job summary

JINGDONG Logistics in Milton Keynes is seeking a skilled Food Safety Specialist to lead the food safety program across its distribution centres and transport operations. You will ensure HACCP compliance, hygiene standards, and regulatory alignment throughout the logistics network.

The role requires auditing, corrective actions, temperature control, and training for warehouse staff, drivers, and supervisors, with supplier oversight to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in food safety or quality management within logistics, warehousing or food distribution.
• Strong knowledge of food safety management systems and regulatory requirements.
• Experience implementing HACCP and hygiene controls in storage and distribution environments.
• Experience supporting external food safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and maintenance of food safety management systems across the business.
• Conduct routine internal food safety audits and hygiene inspections across all sites.
• Monitor temperature control, traceability and product handling requirements.
• Lead investigations into food safety incidents and manage hold/recall procedures.
• Ensure effective control of temperature-controlled storage and transport.
• Deliver food safety training to operational teams including warehouse staff, drivers and supervisors.
• Support supplier and contractor oversight to ensure third-party partners meet standards.
• Prepare reporting and improvement plans for senior management.
