As a Food Safety Manager at Harrods, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food safety, legal compliance, and operational integrity across our diverse food operations. Reporting to the Head of Food Safety and Technical, you will oversee the implementation of our food safety strategy across concessions, restaurants, in-house production, distribution centres, and airport locations.
You will manage a team to implement food safety training, oversee audits, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards. Additionally, you will contribute to policy development, regulatory reporting, and maintaining due diligence records. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will support Harrods in leading food safety excellence.
You should have a proven track record in food safety, a degree or equivalent in Food Safety, and strong knowledge of microbiology, food safety, and quality management systems. L3 HACCP certification is desirable.
You will possess excellent time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service. Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word are essential. Experience with auditing is advantageous.
This role requires availability to work 5 days a week from Monday to Saturday, with Sundays on call approximately once every 4-5 weeks.
