Kinetic Industrial in Stretford is seeking reliable Food Production Operatives to cover holidays, absence and workload fluctuations. You will work on a fast-moving production line across Day/Afternoon and Night shifts, with on-site parking and good transport links.

Qualifications

• Experience in the food manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Quality control at all stages of production.
• Clean all work areas using appropriate products and equipment.
• Work quickly on a fast-moving production line.
• Pack products into boxes when required.
• Ensure work meets high quality standards.
• Inspect for damage or tampering and report as needed.
• Perform manual handling tasks including lifting bags and boxes.

Job Overview

Kinetic Industrial are looking for reliable and flexible Food Production Operatives to work for a food manufacturer based in Stretford. You will be happy to work on an ad hoc basis or only seeking a limited number of hours per week. These positions are primarily to provide cover for holidays, absence and fluctuations in workload, with the potential for ongoing opportunities in the future. An ideal opportunity for candidates looking to fit work around other commitments or supplement their existing income.

Shift Patterns

• 0550am to 1350pm (0550am - 11:50am Friday)


• 1350pm to 2150pm (11:50am-17:50pm Friday)


• 2150pm to 0550am (17:50pm- 23:50pm Friday)

Responsibilities

• Quality control at all stages of the production process


• Cleaning all work areas using various products and equipment


• Fast-moving line so must be able to work quickly and efficiently


• Packing products into boxes where required


• Making sure that all work being done is to a very high standard


• Inspecting produce for any signs of damage or tampering & reporting where necessary


• Completing manual handling tasks including lifting bags and boxes of product

Requirements

• Experience within the food manufacturing industry


• Moving and shifting bags up to and including 25kg


• Able to stand on feet all day


• Good understanding of Health and Safety


• Have excellent personal hygiene standards


• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal


• Must be flexible to carry out ALL shift patterns and cover where required

Role Details

• Day/Afternoon Shift: £12.71ph


• Night Shift: £14.26


• Shifts are Monday - Friday


• Free car parking but also excellent links to public transport


• There is absolutely no smoking on the site - including on breaks

This is a flexible, ad hoc role providing cover for holidays, absence and increased production requirements. Shift availability will vary from week to week, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates looking to fit work around other commitments or supplement their existing income. While regular work cannot be guaranteed, there may be periods where multiple shifts are available, and successful candidates could be considered for longer-term opportunities as business needs develop.

To be suitable for this role, you should be able to accept work at short notice and be flexible across the shift patterns listed above.
