Job description

Job Title: Food Production Operative at IKEA Exeter

IKEA Exeter is seeking dedicated Food Production Operatives to join our friendly and hardworking team. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, preparing simple, high-quality food for our customers.

Contract Details

1. One 34-hour per week contract, including alternate weekends and shifts during mornings, days, and evenings.
2. One 12-hour weekend-only contract, working Saturdays and Sundays from opening to closing times.

Start Date & Interviews

Start date: 07 or 08 June. Interviews scheduled between 19 and 21 May.

Pay & Flexibility

Hourly rate: £12.60. Flexibility can be discussed during the interview to accommodate your needs.

Responsibilities

1. Support in preparing meals such as meatballs and hot dishes in our busy restaurant.
2. Follow safety and cleanliness standards, including managing waste and preparing for the next day.
3. Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety.

Candidate Requirements

• Kitchen and catering experience is preferred but not essential; a hands-on attitude and willingness to learn are key.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.

Daily Tasks

1. Prepare and cook meals using kitchen equipment.
2. Follow safety protocols and maintain cleanliness.
3. Assist in preparing for the next day and managing waste sustainably.
