Job summary

HR GO Recruitment seeks a Production / Line Technician for a busy food manufacturing site in Harlow. The role covers operation, fault finding, maintenance, and quality control to ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality products.

You will work a rotating 2-week shift with start times 06:00 and 14:00, with weekend coverage potential. Competitive benefits and development opportunities are on offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Experience in food, FMCG, packaging, or automated production is preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience operating and maintaining production machinery.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-speed production and packaging equipment.
• Achieve targets for efficiency and quality consistently.
• Perform machine set-ups, changeovers, and adjustments.
• Monitor line performance and minimise downtime.
• Support production in a hygiene-controlled environment.
• Diagnose and rectify faults; assist maintenance as needed.
• Keep maintenance logs and production records up to date.
• Ensure food safety and GMP compliance; complete documentation.
