Job summary

KAG Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading European food processor at their Doncaster site. You will be the shift expert for machinery, maintaining equipment and minimising downtime.

The role offers a salary of £38,000–£47,000 DOE, with 4 on 4 off shifts (2 days/2 nights), and opportunities to work with packing machinery such as Proseal, Mondini and Multivac. Applicants should have ONC/NVQ in engineering, 18th edition, and ideally an apprenticeship or equivalent

Qualifications

• ONC/NVQ in engineering or equivalent; 18th edition advantageous.
• Experience with maintenance of packing machinery and typical plant equipment.
• Excellent communication and proactive, safety-conscious approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to maximise OEE and minimise downtime.
• Record maintenance requests; attend breakdowns and repair promptly.
• Progress reporting to Engineering Management/Supervisor.
