Job summary

Deeside Cereals is seeking a Hygiene Operative to deliver cleaning and hygiene across the site, including offices, production areas and warehouses. You will support the Technical Department to maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and workplace cleanliness.

The role requires basic COSHH knowledge, Level 2 Food Hygiene, and the ability to follow schedules. Training is provided; opportunities exist to grow within the Hygiene function and contribute to audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Good communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Awareness of Health & Safety requirements and hygiene practices.
• Basic COSHH knowledge and CICs understanding.
• Manual Handling training and safe chemical handling.
• Ladders and high level access equipment awareness.
• Expected to reach competence within an 8 week training period.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties in offices, canteen, locker rooms, toilets and production areas.
• Clean internal and external factory areas following schedules and CICs.
• Perform general cleaning of structures, drains, walls, pipework and equipment, including high level work.
• Manage pest control activities on a day-to-day basis as required.
• Follow hygiene schedules and site procedures with initiative.
• Maintain food safety, quality and legality through cleaning practices.
