Job summary

Finsbury Foods is seeking a Hygiene Team Member to maintain clean and safe production areas. You will clean machinery and facilities with jet washers and cleaning tools, handling chemicals safely under COSHH and site procedures. Dismantling for access, pre‑op checks and accurate hygiene record-keeping are all part of the role.

You will follow schedules and SOPs, assist during audits and ensure high housekeeping standards across the site, contributing to safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial cleaning is desirable but training will be provided.
• Physically capable of hands‑on, manual cleaning tasks.
• Attention to detail and pride in high hygiene standards.
• Able to follow COSHH procedures and site rules.
• Comfortable working at height with ladders or access equipment where required.
• Willing to learn, proactive and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise production machinery, equipment and manufacturing areas to required food safety standards.
• Use jet washers, foaming systems and cleaning tools; handle cleaning chemicals safely per COSHH.
• Follow cleaning schedules, SOPs and CIC Cards; complete tasks within timescales.
• Disassemble/reassemble equipment for effective access and cleaning as needed.
• Perform pre-operational checks and report hygiene, safety or quality issues.
• Maintain hygiene records and contribute to audits by evidencing high standards.
