Job summary

King’s Oak Academy in Kingswood seeks a Food & PE Technician to support practical lessons and projects across the Food and PE departments. You will set up equipment, prepare curriculum resources, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role requires a Food Hygiene Certificate, GCSE English/Maths at grade 4+, and good time management with strong communication to work with staff and students. Term-time hours apply.

Qualifications

• Good literacy and numeracy for reporting and calculations.
• Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent catering safety qualification.
• A Level Design Technology or equivalent experience is desirable.
• Strong time management to handle term-time schedule.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment for Food and PE lessons and practicals.
• Prepare curriculum resources and reprographics across both departments.
• Maintain safe, well-organised practical areas and adhere to Health & Safety.
• Provide ongoing support to teachers during practical activities.
• Manage resources and information for safe and engaging activities.
