Commonwealth Of Virginia seeks a Food Operations Assistant Director to supervise food service staff and inmates, ensuring meals are prepared and served in compliance with policies.

Position supervises the activities of Food Service staff and inmates in the preparation and serving of meals to the population ensuring compliance with all policies. Manages operations to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and security regulations. Responsible for budgeting, procurement, food storage, timekeeping, and schedule management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working knowledge of large volume food operations, sanitation, and food safety standards.
• Working knowledge of the computer and Microsoft Office programs to include Outlook.
• Skilled in the operation of food service equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and/or inmates in a food service environment.

Additional Considerations

• Serv-Safe Certification.
• Working knowledge of DOC policies and procedures for Food Services.
• Food Service experience working in a correctional, educational, hospital or similar institutional environment.
