Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Northampton is recruiting for a Food Manufacturing Operatives role within a global leader in food production. You will join a shift-based, permanent team with full training to deliver high-quality products safely and efficiently.

Starting salary is £34,350, rising to £40,411 after a 5-month probation. The role operates on 06:00-18:00 and 18:00-06:00 shifts with 4 days on/off cycles, emphasising health & safety, quality standards and continuous improvement.

  • Operate production equipment and carry out tasks to the highest standards following full training.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, including ISO 9001, HACCP, and site-specific policies.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to maintain product integrity and consistency.
  • Support the company’s ESG goals by working safely, minimising waste, and reducing the need for product remixes.
  • Identify and suggest operational improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain smooth production flow.

Food Manufacturing Operatives

Starting salary: £34,350, increasing to £40,411 (After completed 5-month probation)

Location: Northampton

Employment Type: Full-time / Shift-based / Permanent

Shifts
  • 06.00-18.00 4 days on and 4 days off.
  • 18.00-06.00 4 nights on and 4 nights off.

Pertemps are recruiting for our Food Manufacturing client based in Northampton. You will be working for a global leader working with raw ingredients, committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainability. On their behalf, Pertemps are now seeking Food Manufacturing Operatives to join the manufacturing team to help them deliver quality products safely, efficiently, and responsibly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate production equipment and carry out tasks to the highest standards following full training.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, including ISO 9001, HACCP, and site-specific policies.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices to maintain product integrity and consistency.
  • Support the company’s ESG goals by working safely, minimising waste, and reducing the need for product remixes.

Essential
  • Commitment to health & safety and quality standards.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Desirable
  • Valid Forklift Counterbalance Truck licence.
  • Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/BRC, HACCP, Food Safety, Hygiene, COSHH, and pest control.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Food Safety Level 2 qualification.
