Job summary

The Cornwall Bakery, part of Samworth Brothers, is seeking a Hygiene Operator to help keep the site clean, safe, and compliant. You'll work within the hygiene team to support food safety, performing routine cleaning tasks and documenting records.

This hands-on role focuses on following clear instructions, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and supporting site audits. We value teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach, with opportunities for training and growth within the Samworth

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene or food production.
• A good eye for detail and a strong focus on cleanliness.
• The ability to follow clear instructions and routines.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Clean factory areas, machines, and equipment, clean after production has finished
• Safely dismantle and reassemble machinery for thorough cleaning
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, follow hygiene rules at all times
• Fill in cleaning sheets and records
• Report any damage, spills, or safety issues
• Help keep the site ready for checks and audits
