Job summary

Smile Education is helping a welcoming Worcester secondary school recruit a Food Technology Teacher for maternity cover from January 2027 to July 2027. This full-time role is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT seeking further experience, with opportunities to make a real impact within the Design Technology department.

You will teach Food Technology and Design Technology to KS3, plan engaging practical lessons, support diverse learners, manage classrooms effectively and collaborate

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering practical lessons.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A creative, enthusiastic and engaging approach to teaching.
• Someone reliable, adaptable and committed to supporting students.

Responsibilities

Are you a passionate Food Technology Teacher looking for a new opportunity from January? Smile Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Worcester who are looking for a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from January 2027 until July 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Technology Teacher, or an ECT looking to gain further experience, to join a supportive department and make a real impact with students.
