Job summary

The Soap Factory in Leeds is seeking an energetic and motivational Food and Beverage Team Leader to supervise a busy service, train staff, and drive service excellence across all F&B operations. This permanent role requires strong leadership and a commitment to guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

You will lead a dynamic team, manage scheduling, stock, and health and safety compliance while maintaining exceptional guest experiences in a vibrant, central Leeds venue.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a food and beverage or hospitality leadership role (2–3 years).
• Strong people skills and ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in staff scheduling, inventory management, and operational planning.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
• Customer-focused mindset with commitment to service.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Desirable: Food hygiene certification.
• Experience with POS systems and F&B management software.
• Budget management and cost control knowledge.
• Menu planning and food cost awareness.
• Experience in staff induction and training programme development.
• Familiarity with QA modelling and continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a food and beverage team to sustain excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee scheduling, stock control, and inventory to ensure efficient service.
• Maintain strict food safety, health standards, and policies at all times.
• Train and mentor staff with constructive feedback for progression.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and handle concerns promptly.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
• Conduct appraisals and address performance issues professionally.
• Analyse data and implement improvements for efficiency and profitability.
• Report team performance and opportunities to senior management.
• Keep accurate records and documentation in line with procedures.
