Job summary

Residence Inn by Marriott London Tower Bridge is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant to join our hospitality team in London. This role focuses on guest service, beverage preparation, and maintaining high standards across F&B outlets.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, with a friendly demeanor, great presentation, and strong communication skills. Flexible hours and opportunities for progression are offered within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry.
• Experience in busy restaurant or bar environments preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation and hygiene knowledge.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible and collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages as requested by guests.
• Set tables and ensure readiness to welcome guests.
• Take and execute guest orders promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness of Food & Beverage outlets.
• Have knowledge of the menu and assist guests with choices.
• Communicate guest questions to F&B and Kitchen teams as needed.

Your role

You will work closely with the food and beverage leadership team in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Hotel and the satisfaction of guests.

Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Assistant will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests;
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times;
• Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner;
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets;
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu;
• Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection;
• Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
