Job summary

Millennium Hotels in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an enthusiastic Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead service at busy hotel outlets. You will communicate clearly, supervise team members, handle payments and promote excellent guest experiences.

We expect hands-on hospitality experience, strong leadership, calm under pressure, and flexibility to work breakfasts, evenings and events. Benefits include pension, staff meals, and generous discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisor or Team Leader role.
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure.
• Experience working in a busy hospitality environment.
• Experience with payment systems / cash handling.
• Familiarity with Micros or similar POS systems (advantageous).
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including breakfasts, evenings, events and late finishes.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverage products in restaurant, bar, breakfast or dinner service.
• Confidently communicate our offerings to guests.
• Accurately process payments (cash, card, room charges) per guidelines.
• Provide a warm, welcoming service at all guest touchpoints.
• Manage day-to-day staffing needs, planning and assigning work.
• Contribute to guest satisfaction goals and handle guest requests and complaints.
• Ensure safe storage of food and beverages and minimise waste, monitor stock levels.
• Assist in inventory procedures and maintain minimum/maximum stock levels.

Salary of £27,060.80 40 hours fully flex

Responsibilities of an F&B Supervisor:

• The service of food and beverage products in the restaurant, either working within the bar, breakfast or evening restaurant team.
• Being able to confidently communicate all our food and beverage offerings available to customers.
• Accurately dealing with all payment transactions (cash, card and room charging) in the correct manner according to company guidelines.
• Providing a warm and welcoming service at all touch points with the guests ensuring that any queries or requirements are dealt with accordingly.
• Managing day-to-day staffing needs, planning and assigning work and contributing to setting performance and development goals for team members
• Ensuring the team deliver on quality and guest satisfaction goals. Helping guests with their requests and complaints - making sure you maintain a high level of guest satisfaction
• Making sure food and drinks are secure and stored safely - always keeping stocks replenished and minimising waste
• Supporting in the management of food and beverage inventory procedures, ensuring minimum and maximum stocks for all food, beverage, material, and equipment are maintained consistently

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:
