Job summary

Warner Hotels in Harrogate is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead service shifts, coach teams, and deliver exceptional guest experiences across our restaurants and bars.

This role requires hands-on leadership on shift, strong communication, and a focus on safety, upselling, and cost control while maintaining high hospitality standards. You will work closely with managers to ensure memorable dining experiences for guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food and beverage or hospitality operations.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards – Level 3 food safety certificate desirable.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift as on-shift leader across the department.
• Monitor standards and efficiency; coordinate with managers to resolve issues.
• Provide on-shift support and guidance to teams across departments.
• Reallocate resources during busy periods to maintain service levels.
• Motivate teams and lead by example with a positive, collaborative approach.
• Serve as the main guest contact during the shift.
• Handle queries, complaints, VIPs and special requests professionally.
• Maintain visibility in public areas to support engagement and satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to H&S regulations, hygiene standards and company policies.
• Act as person responsible for emergency procedures, fire safety and first aid.
• Complete incident reports and escalate as needed.
• Monitor upselling opportunities across F&B and retail.
• Ensure correct cash handling and billing processes.
• Support cost control while protecting guest experience.
• Conduct shift handovers and prepare shift reports.

Warner Hotels are recruiting for a Food & Beverage Supervisor. This key role within our Food & Beverage team is responsible for leading service shifts, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and supporting the smooth operation of our restaurants and bars.

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor at Warner Hotels, you'll be the face of hospitality during your shift, leading from the front to deliver outstanding service. You'll support, coach, and motivate your team, maintain high operational standards, and ensure every guest enjoys the warm welcome and memorable dining experience that Warner Hotels is known for. Working closely with managers and team leaders, you'll help drive service excellence while creating unforgettable moments for our guests.

Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight

• Prepare shift reports on key events, feedback, and challenges.
• Communicate urgent matters to senior leadership promptly.
• Liaise withorganisersand internal teams to ensure requirements are met.

Problem Solving & Crisis Management

• Take decisive action during emergencies or unexpected issues.
• Coordinate teams tominimisedisruption and ensure guest safety

Behaviours,Skills& Experience

• Previousexperience in food and beverage or hospitality operations.
