Job summary

KLONDYKE GROUP LIMITED is seeking Front of House Assistants for our Mortonhall Garden Centre restaurant in both full- and part-time permanent positions. You will set up and maintain front of house, present menus, serve customers, and deliver meals to tables while ensuring high hygiene and cleanliness.

Flexible weekend work is required. We value friendly and customer-focused individuals with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Friendly, engaging personality and strong customer service.
• Barista experience preferred but not essential (training provided).
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
• Shift flexibility including weekends and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain front of house and counters to company standards.
• Present menus, serve customers, and help with beverage choices.
• Provide counter service and prepare beverages.
• Deliver meals to customers at tables and ensure hygiene.
• Prepare restaurant tables and maintain cleanliness.
• Process payments at electronic till points.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed.
• Close front of house areas to company standards.
• Assist with back of house duties if required.

Job description

We are looking for Full & Part Time Permanent Front of House Assistants to join the team in our Restaurant in Mortonhall Garden Centre.

Our competitive rate of pay ranges from £10.40 to £12.75 per Hour dependent on age.

Roles available are 40 per week over 5 days & 30 per week over 4 days. Both will involve weekend work so flexibility is a must.

The Role

• Set up and maintain the front of house and counters each day to our company standards
• Presenting menus, serving, and helping customers select food and beverage by offering suggestions
• Providing Counter Service and preparing beverages.
• Deliver our Chef prepared meals to customers at their tables
• Preparing restaurant tables with special attention to hygiene and cleanliness
• Processing payment at electronic till points
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed
• Closing front of house areas each day to our company standards
• May be required to assist with back of house duties
