Job summary

Klondyke Garden Centres is seeking a Part Time Permanent Front of House Assistant to join the team in our Restaurant at Weaver Vale Garden Centre. You will provide excellent customer service, take orders and serve our food and drinks to guests, with knowledge of the menus and close collaboration with FOH and kitchen teams.

The role runs 20 hours per week across five days, with weekend work required. Pay ranges from £10.40 to £12.75 per hour, depending on age.

Qualifications

• Friendly, engaging personality with a passion for customer service.
• Barista experience preferred but training provided.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Great teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
• Shift flexibility including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain the front of house to company standards.
• Present menus, serve and help customers choose food and drinks.
• Provide counter service and prepare beverages.
• Deliver meals to customers at their tables.
• Prepare restaurant tables with hygiene and cleanliness.
• Process payments at electronic till points.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed.
• Close front of house areas daily to standards.
• May assist with back of house duties.

We are looking for a Part Time Permanent Front of House Assistant to join the team in our Restaurant in Weaver ValeGarden Centre.

Our competitive rate of pay ranges from £10.40 to £12.75 per Hour dependent on age.

The hours for this role are 20 per week over 5days. This will involve weekend work so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a Front of House Assistant, you have a responsibility to provide excellent customer service, take orders, and serve our fantastic food and drinks to our customer. You will need to have full knowledge of the food and beverage menus and will work closely with your FOH and kitchen teams to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly.

What you will be doing as a Front of House Assistant?

• Set up and maintain the front of house and counters each day to our company standards
• Presenting menus, serving, and helping customers select food and beverage by offering suggestions
• Providing Counter Service and preparing beverages.
• Deliver our Chef prepared meals to customers at their tables
• Preparing restaurant tables with special attention to hygiene and cleanliness
• Processing payment at electronic till points
• Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed
• Closing front of house areas each day to our company standards
• May be required to assistwith back of house duties
