Job summary

Fulwood Academy, Preston, part of Lancashire County Council, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support the FOCUS provision. You will assist teachers, deliver planned learning and run intervention sessions for individuals and small groups under supervision. This is a part-time, term-time role offering a supportive, inclusive school environment.

Qualifications

Summary: We are seeking to appoint a valuable team member to support the effective delivery of provision within FOCUS, the Academy’s targeted inclusion provision, ensuring pupils receive high-quality academic, pastoral and behavioural support. The postholder will support teachers delivering lessons within FOCUS and deliver planned learning, intervention and reintegration sessions to individuals and small groups under the direction of teaching and senior staff.

Working Requirements: 37 hours per week, term time only + 5 Inset days (08.15am – 4.15pm Mon-Thurs, 3.45pm Fri). Salary: Scale 5, SCP 17- 21 £30,855 - £33,316 (Actual £27,000 - £29,154).

This position is part time, term time only. The salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy. Grade C / 4 Maths & English GCSE or equivalent
