Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, inventory, stock control or FMCG environments.
• Experience leading or supervising a team in logistics, warehousing or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.
• Experience investigating stock variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Advanced Excel skills (reporting, formulas, pivot tables).
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP/WMS.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced FMCG Warehouse Team Lead to oversee inventory and stock control operations within a fast-paced distribution environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring stock accuracy, supporting warehouse performance, managing third-party logistics relationships, and leading a high-performing team.

You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, driving operational efficiency, resolving stock discrepancies, and ensuring the smooth flow of products through the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the warehouse inventory team to deliver high levels of accuracy and performance.
• Monitor stock levels and reconcile inventory records across warehouse locations.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages, and inventory-related issues.
• Manage stock adjustments and ensure all inventory transactions are processed accurately.
• Plan and coordinate regular stock counts and annual stock takes.
• Produce stock, capacity and operational performance reports for management.
• Maintain accurate inventory records within SAP and associated warehouse systems.
• Work closely with warehouse, logistics and supply chain teams to ensure stock availability and service levels are maintained.
• Build strong relationships with third-party logistics providers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage inventory-related costs, returns and operational charges.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across inventory and warehouse operations.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, stock control or FMCG environment.
• Experience leading or supervising a team within logistics, warehousing or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and stock control processes.
• Experience investigating stock variances and implementing corrective actions.
• Advanced Excel skills, including reporting, formulas and pivot tables.
• Experience using SAP or a similar ERP/Warehouse Management System.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced operational environment.

Desirable

• Qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline.
• Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
• Previous experience within FMCG, distribution, warehousing or wholesale operations.
• Knowledge of stock conversions and inventory transactions within SAP.
