Job summary

b3 recruitment ltd is seeking a Site Engineer for a Kent-based FMCG manufacturing site. The role focuses on maximising asset availability by root-causing failures, delivering rapid breakdown responses, completing planned maintenance and supporting continuous improvement across engineering and site services.

The candidate should have engineering qualifications (Electrical/Mechanical) and experience with PLC fault finding, strong analytical and planning skills, and the ability to work rotating

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications (Electrical/Mechanical) preferred.
• Strong analytical, planning, coordination and communication skills; proficient in Microsoft Office and relationship building.
• Experience in FMCG operations, resilient and flexible, able to work rotating shifts and meet customer quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and complete maintenance tasks to maximise asset availability.
• Optimise line efficiency and maintain operational standards with cross‑department collaboration.
• Support machine operation training and lead maintenance projects or modifications.
• Liaise with departments to resolve issues and promote open communication across teams.
• Follow hygiene, safety procedures and company Code of Business Conduct; perform any additional duties as required by site management.
