Job summary

ALPLA UK is seeking a Packing Coordinator at our Golborne base plant (WA3) to lead packing activities across all profit centres. You will manage resources, deploy equipment, and ensure products meet customer requirements for distribution. The role covers training, safety, planning and performance reviews to maintain efficient packing operations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in FMCG environment.
• Ability to motivate, influence and encourage multiple packing teams.
• Hands-on approach with strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate Packing teams across site.
• Ensure packing personnel are trained for machinery.
• Regularly review and organise training where needed.
• Maintain a safe working environment with H&S Manager.
• Manage absence and handle disciplinary/grievance processes.
• Align packing staffing with production plans.
• Oversee stock checks of production consumables and report anomalies.
• Collaborate with departmental managers to optimise packing.
• Ensure site packing teams have annual appraisals and SOPs.
• Attend weekly planning meetings and contribute to production plans.
