Job summary

Adeptus partners with a leading FMCG manufacturer in Blackwood, South Wales, to recruit a skilled Maintenance Technician for a high‑tech production environment. You’ll join a capable maintenance engineering team, keeping machinery running efficiently, reducing downtime, and driving reliability across the site.

The role operates a 3‑shift pattern (earlies, afternoons, nights) with a starting salary around £42,200 and progression to £49,600 (including shift allowance).

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
• Proven experience in fault finding and maintenance.
• Experience in a production, manufacturing, or FMCG environment.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with good problem-solving skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance, both planned (PPM) and reactive.
• Diagnose and repair faults on production machinery.
• Support installation, modification, and improvement of mechanical systems.
• Work closely with production teams to reduce breakdowns and improve performance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to company standards.
