Job summary

ATA Recruitment seeks a Maintenance Engineer for a high-volume FMCG food manufacturer in Wrexham. You will maintain production equipment, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across the facility.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance on packaging machinery, fault diagnosis on electrical and mechanical systems, and working with the production team to maximise plant reliability. Competitive salary and benefits on offer.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with automated production or packaging machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and packaging machinery.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
• Complete preventative maintenance schedules and engineering checks.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to long-term solutions.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning and improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Work in accordance with health, safety and food safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production and other engineers to maximise plant efficiency.
