Job summary

Franco Manca Southfields is seeking a Pizza Second Chef to join a fast-paced kitchen team. You’ll support the Head Chef, ensure every pizza meets high standards, and help train junior staff.

With a focus on prep, quality control and hygiene, you’ll stay organized under busy shifts and contribute to a positive dining experience for guests across franchises.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience in a busy environment is essential.
• Strong team spirit and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of food prep, hygiene and safety standards.
• Passion for cooking and delivering high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and assist in delivering consistently high-quality pizzas.
• Handle key kitchen areas, from prep to quality control and safety.
• Train and mentor junior team members and maintain calm under pressure.
• Hands-on role in dough stretching and pizza creation to delight guests.

What You’ll Do:

• As Pizza Second Chef, you’ll be a vital part of our kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef and keeping the heart of our pizzeria beating strong.
• You’ll work closely with the Head Chef to deliver consistently amazing food, ensuring every pizza is a masterpiece.
• Take responsibility for key areas of the kitchen, from food prep and quality control to maintaining hygiene and safety standards.
• Help train and support junior members of the team, sharing your skills and passion for great food.
• Keep calm under pressure and lead the team when the Head Chef isn’t around.
• Play a hands-on role, from stretching dough to creating pizzas that make our guests smile.
