Job summary

Altrad are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead FM & RO activities across assigned hubs within the Oil & Gas sector. You will manage onshore Project Engineers and offshore Team Leads, ensuring safe, timely delivery and alignment with client specifications.

You will oversee planning, costings, variations and procurement, while maintaining high standards of HSEQ and QA/QC. Strong leadership, communication and technical capability are essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience within FM & RO disciplines.
• Experience in a Delivery Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager or similar within Oil & Gas.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and data, including P&IDs, PFDs, vessel arrangements.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills with a leadership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for FM & RO activities across the hub(s), ensuring safety, timeliness and adherence to specifications.
• Lead onshore Project Engineers and offshore Team Leads, coordinating resources and performance.
• Act as main point of contact for clients, managing scope, changes and communications.
• Prepare and drive work readiness and gate criteria for planned activities.
• Oversee plan attainment and progress against agreed schedules.
• Manage planning, costings, variations, forecasting and purchase orders.
• Provide technical leadership for work packs, risk assessments and change management.
• Develop department capability through procedures, training and certification.
• Ensure QA/QC documentation is submitted to client systems and closed out correctly.
• Lead contract reporting and performance metrics across timeframes.
• Support personnel development through PDRs and coaching.
• Provide specialist technical support to onshore, offshore and client teams.
• Review and update processes, ensuring effective communication of changes.
• Drive HSEQ compliance and alignment with Safer Together expectations.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, cost efficiency and quality in delivery.

Job description

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join the team.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience within Fabric Maintenance and Repair Order (FM & RO) disciplines within the Oil & Gas industry and will provide management, direction and leadership to FM & RO teams. The role will have overall responsibility for the delivery of FM & RO activities across the assigned hub(s), working closely with clients, internal teams and offshore personnel to ensure activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with agreed specifications, legislation, industry standards and company procedures.

Key Deliverables

• Take overall responsibility for the delivery of FM & RO activities across the dedicated hub(s), ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to the agreed specification.
• Provide management, direction and leadership to the function, including onshore Project Engineers and offshore Team Leads, ensuring resources are effectively planned and allocated.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing project specifications, scope changes, delivery challenges and communications.
• Lead the readiness of planned work through the work cycle, ensuring all required gate criteria are achieved.
• Maintain overall ownership of plan attainment for the assigned hub(s), ensuring work progresses in accordance with agreed plans.
• Manage planning and commercial activities, including costings, variations, forecasting, CTRs and purchase orders.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance for work packs, risk assessments, investigations, Management of Change and project reviews.
• Maintain and develop the technical capability of the department through procedures, training, competency, regulatory documentation and certification.
• Ensure QA/QC documentation is received, collated and submitted to client systems, and that tasks are accurately closed out within relevant work management systems.
• Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual contract reporting, ensuring accurate Workscope Logs, timesheet allocations and performance information.
• Support the development and performance of personnel through training, competency reviews, PDRs, professional development and succession planning.
• Provide specialist technical support to onshore, offshore and client personnel, maintaining knowledge of applicable legislation, industry standards and relevant technical practices.
• Review, develop and update processes and procedures, ensuring changes are effectively communicated to onshore and offshore teams.
• Drive HSEQ compliance across activities in accordance with legislation, client requirements, Altrad procedures and Safer Together expectations.
• Identify and lead opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation, improving client efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality and consistency of delivery.

Key Requirements / Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience within FM & RO disciplines.
• Previous experience in a Delivery Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager or similar management role within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong understanding of Fabric Maintenance and Repair Order activities and the key challenges associated with oil and gas production systems.
• Proven experience managing and coordinating technical teams, internal departments, clients and offshore personnel.
• Experience managing multiple projects, work scopes and competing priorities within a demanding operational environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and data, including piping isometrics, vessel general arrangements, P&IDs, PFDs and piping schedules.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering repair order work packs and drawings, with previous experience producing simple method statements.
• Good understanding of find and fix repair solutions for repair orders.
• Competent in un-engineered temporary repair techniques for offshore process and utility piping and vessel systems, including box clamps and composite repairs.
• Knowledge of Fabric Maintenance, construction materials and associated equipment.
• Competent in the use of maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office packages.
• Strong understanding of HSEQ requirements and a clear commitment to safe working practices.
• Strong planning, organisational, communication and resource management skills, with the ability to forward plan and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, internal teams and offshore personnel and support the development of team members.
