Job summary

JDR Recruitment is seeking FLT Reach Drivers for roles in Newcastle-Under-Lyne, Stoke. Licences can be expired or in-house with a copy. Roles involve operating a Reach truck, loading, unloading, and order picking with RF scanners.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Reach truck licence (expired or in-house with copy).
• Previous Reach Truck experience in warehouse/distribution.
• Solid understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and overtime when required.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Reach Truck to move pallets within a warehouse.
• Load, unload, and relocate stock safely and efficiently.
• Put away inbound goods into racking locations.
• Pick stock from high-level racking to support customer orders.
• Perform daily FLT safety and maintenance checks.
• Accurately scan products using RF handheld scanners.
• Ensure stock is located correctly within the warehouse management system.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
• Report equipment faults, stock discrepancies, or safety concerns immediately.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse operatives and supervisors to meet operational targets.

We will accept expired and inhouse licences providing that you have a copy of the licence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Reach Truck to move pallets within a warehouse

Shifts

Working 5 shifts over 7 so this role does involve working some weekends

The shift times for day shifts will be either:

6am-3pm

7am-4pm

8am-5pm

During the peak period (October - December) the shift times will be 6am-6pm

The shift times for night shifts will be:

6pm-6am - however during quiet periods, the start time may be later and the finish time may be earlier

Pay

Day Shifts will be 13.60 per hour - increasing to £14.60 per hour between October and December

Night Shifts will be £15.64 per hour - increasing to £16.64 per hour between October and December

Temporary to Permanent
