Job summary

Absolute Health & Care in Newcastle Under Lyme is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Driver to join our busy distribution warehouse on a Monday to Friday rotating shift (0600-1400 and 1400-2200). The role pays £13.14 per hour and is initially temporary with a view to permanency after a 12-week probation.

You must hold a Reach Truck licence with at least one year of experience and will operate electric powered trucks, picking, packing and dispatching orders while maintaining health and safety

Qualifications

• Reach Truck licence with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Experience working in a busy distribution warehouse.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Picking orders from pick lists and locating stock.
• Packing orders ready for dispatch.
• Dispatching goods to customers.
• Completing all paperwork and documents as required.
• Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers with care.
• Report shortages and damages to the Team Leader.
• Adhering to Health & Safety policies and maintaining a clean work area.
• Carrying out warehouse duties including stock checks and handballing.

Reach Truck Driver

We are recruiting for experienced Reach Truck drivers to work Monday to Friday at a busy distribution warehouse in Newcastle Under Lyme

You will be working Monday to Friday 0600-1400 / 1400-2200 on a rotating shift and be paid at an hourly rate of £13.14

This role is a temporary to permanent role, where you will work via the agency for a minimum of 12 weeks and offered a full time contract if you pass the probational 12 weeks.

You will need to have a Reach Truck licence with a minimum of 1 year experience and you will be working on electric powered trucks

What You’ll Be Doing

• Picking orders from pick lists and locate stock as and when required.
• Packing orders ready for dispatch.
• Dispatching goods to our customers.
• Completing all paperwork and documents as required.
• Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers in a manner so the Company is not liable for any damages.
• Report all shortages and damages found to the Team Leader immediately.
• Be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health and Safety and welfare of yourself and others
• Ensuring work areas are kept in a safe, clean and tidy manner.
• Warehouse duties; checking stock, goods and location controlling, picking and handballing.
