Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for an FLT Operative in Wrexham to join a busy chilled-meals operation. You will operate reach and counterbalance FLTs, pick components, and palletise goods on a 4 on/4 off rota, with 6am–6pm and 6pm–6am shifts.

You will use handheld scanners or RF guns, read labels and codes accurately, spot discrepancies, and work safely in a cold store environment (-5°C). A current FLT licence is required; training can be provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• FLT licence required; Reach truck licence preferred.
• Experience in cold store environments.
• Ability to read labels and codes accurately.
• Physically fit to bend, lift and carry.
• Reliable and hardworking.

Great opportunity to work as an FLT Operative for our client, a professional yet friendly company who specialises in making and developing chilled meals for the top UK supermarkets, making over 3.7million chilled meals every week.

Staffline is recruiting FLT Operatives in Wrexham.

The rate of pay is:

• Days £13.65 per hour
• Nights £14.72 per hour

Overtime is available and is paid at:

• Days £20.48 per hour
• Nights £22.08 per hour

This is a full-time role, and the hours of work are:

• 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm
• 4 on 4 off, 6pm to 6am

Your Time at Work

The responsibilities of a FLT Operative, your duties will include:

• Supplying the factory with ingredients and packaging, Reach truck and Counterbalance FLT's
• Using handheld scanners or RF guns
• Reading labels and codes accurately
• Spotting discrepancies (wrong item, damaged packaging)
• Counting quantities correctly
• Working with units, boxes, cases, pallets
• Understanding pick lists, handheld scanner prompts
• Following standard operating procedures
• Working at a good pace without sacrificing accuracy
• Physically fit as bending, lifting, and reaching is required
• Using correct lifting techniques
• Following warehouse safety rules
