Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Warehouse Operative with Counterbalance FLT experience for an afternoons shift in South Shields. You will load wagons, break down orders and maintain high health and safety on site.

Candidates must have at least 2 years counterbalance FLT experience and be prepared to learn other MHE. This permanent, full-time role offers free parking, a generous pension and employee support services.

Warehouse Operative with Counterbalance FLT experience - AFTERNOONS

Salary: £31, 117 per annum (annualised hours basis)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Nights: Monday to Friday (2pm - 11pm)

Location: South Shields, NE34 9PH

DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Operate PPT & Counterbalance FLT depending on pick requirement (25% of role)
• Breaking down and organising orders per the customers request - Physically demanding work (75% of role)
• Loading wagons in preparation for delivery
• Completing order paperwork to ensure all orders are logged correctly
• Adhering to all health and safety on site

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Minimum 2 years experience of using a counterbalance FLT (Essential Requirement)
• Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operative, within a logistics environment or similar role and be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures (desirable)
• Previous experience of the preparation and distribution of orders.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
• Willing to undertake training on other types of MHE such as LLOP Reach FLT and PPT
• Happy to undertake physically demanding work - this is not just a FLT role
