Job summary

Ornua Co-operative Limited in Leek is seeking a Manufacturing Services Operative (FLT Driver) to join our team on a permanent basis. You will work Monday to Friday on rotating 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm shifts, driving FLTs safely and supplying materials to production areas.

Responsibilities include stock transactions, maintaining PPE and safety standards, and supporting colleagues while adhering to GMP. This role is based at Foods UK, Leek, with development opportunities and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Current FLT licence for Counter Balance and/or Reach.
• Reliability and punctuality are essential in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn, develop and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure FLTs are driven safely and checked for safe operation before use including battery.
• Provide manufacturing areas with required materials in a timely manner.
• Carry out stock transactions accurately and correctly.
• Wear PPE correctly at all times.
• Report issues relating to stock transactions, FLTs and racking promptly.
• Move and store all materials safely within safe weight limits.
• Maintain FLT battery water levels correctly.
• Segregate packaging waste correctly.
• Inform the Department Manager of issues impacting Safety, Quality or Cost.
• Adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean working area in line with GMP and company policies.
• Support and motivate colleagues and comply with reasonable requests.
