Job summary

Menzies Distribution Solutions are recruiting an experienced FLT Driver/Loader for our night team in Biggleswade. You will unload/load Ultraframe trailers accurately to ensure prompt despatch of customer goods from the warehouse.

Role focuses on safe, efficient loading with strong health and safety standards, plus support across warehouse tasks as needed.

• Experience using counterbalance FLT.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trailers using counterbalance FLT / Moffett.
• Read and interpret load plans and paperwork accurately.
• Open and close curtains, strap loads, and check vehicles for defects.
• Report any defects to the gatehouse and maintain a clean yard.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure high standards of service.

Job description

Menzies Distribution Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver/Loader to join our night team in Biggleswade.To provide accurate unloading and loading of Ultraframe trailers / vehicles resulting in prompt despatch of customer goods from the warehouse to external parties.

The role requirements are to complete various warehouse/loading tasks, as safely, accurately and as efficiently as possible upholding and the highest standards of health and safety at all times.

The Details:

• Salary: £33.128.00
• Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday nights
• Working Hours: Varying from 20:30-04:45
• Hours:37.5 hours per week
• Monthly Pay

Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to)

• Loading/unloading trailers using counterbalance FLT / Moffett
• Reading paperwork accurately in order to compile loads
• Opening and closing curtains
• Checking vehicles / trailers for obvious defects before loadingReporting any vehicle / trailer defects to the gatehouse
• Recording and reporting any excess stillages / customer orders that are left in the yard
• Strapping loads
• Operating a clean-as-you-go policy, ensuring the warehouse/yard is free from any debris and pests
• Ensure all tasks are carried out to the highest of standards, working in partnership direct with the customer
• Adhering to Warehouse/Yard H&S rules at all time
• Assisting in the warehouse when necessary

Key Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience using counterbalance FLT
• In-date, accredited FLT licence (RTITB, ITSARR, AITT etc.)
• Previous warehouse / loading experience

Technical skills and behavioral competencies:

• Good eye for detail

• Ability to read and understanding load plans and paperwork
