Job summary

Pertemps Northampton in Corby is seeking a FLT Driver/Goods In to support the team in despatch and loading activities. You will ensure orders are ready for loading, check labels, and maintain stock rotation while keeping hygiene standards high.

The role requires a valid Reach & Counterbalance Licence, willingness to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days/nights), and a focus on safe, efficient goods handling. London- area commuters are not specified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products are despatched and correct per deadlines.
• Collate customer orders before loading onto vehicles.
• Load vehicles after orders checked and verified.
• Check product labels and standards for each customer.
• Monitor hygiene and housekeeping, complete schedules.
• Maintain stock movement and rotation; minimize waste.
• Operate loading equipment safely and use appropriate trolley/pallets.

Job title: FLT Driver/Goods In

Location: Corby

Job Summary

To be part of an effective team offering full support to the Team Leader and Shift Manager to ensure that production targets are met on time and in accordance with agreed company standards and policies by the efficient running and setting up of all equipment and machinery.

Goods In responsibilities

• Ensure that all products are despatched and correct in accordance with agreed sales department deadlines.
• Ensure all customer orders are correctly collated before loading them onto the corresponding vehicles ready for despatch.
• Collate orders ready for despatching on required vehicles.
• Check all products are at the required standard with correct label details for each specific customer.
• Ensure transporting equipment is correct for each customer i.e., double, or single dollies or pallets and that they are in good working order.
• Load vehicles when completed orders have been checked.
• Ensure all orders are despatched correctly with no shortages. If a shortage occurs liaise with the supervisor who will organise with production regards the shortage and where necessary, arrange transport to get the shortage to the customer.
• Monitor hygiene and housekeeping and ensure hygiene schedules are completed.
• Maintain control of product movement within the loading areas, keeping stock to a sensible working minimum, ensuring correct rotation of stocks, and maintaining the unaccounted and waste levels to a minimum.
• Must hold valid Reach & Counterbalance Licence

Job commitments

• 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern between days and nights (6am - 6pm and 6pm -6am shift start/finish times) You must be willing to work both shifts
• Pay rate £14.19 and overtime paid at time & half
