Job summary

Unilever Leeds is seeking an experienced FLT Driver (Counterbalance) to support material intake and dispatch in our Leeds facility. You will operate counterbalance forklifts, load/unload vehicles, and move stock across the warehouse and production areas.

The role requires a valid FLT Counterbalance licence (ITSSAR/RTITB or similar) with at least 12 months of FLT experience and a minimum one year licence remaining.

Qualifications

• FLT Counterbalance licence (ITSSAR, RTITB or similar); in-house licences not accepted.
• At least 12 months’ FLT experience in a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Licence valid for at least 1 year remaining.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Strong communication skills and safety commitment.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially around AGVs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, flexible and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate FLT Counterbalance trucks.
• Load and unload vehicles.

• Store stock accurately within designated locations.
• Complete daily FLT safety checks and report defects.
• Maintain accurate stock records and complete relevant paperwork/system transactions.

• Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard-free.
• Work safely alongside AGVs, pedestrians, and warehouse traffic.
• Maintain high attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Report hazards, near misses, and safety concerns promptly.

FLT Driver (Counterbalance) – Unilever Leeds

We are seeking experienced FLT Drivers to join our client’s manufacturing facility in Seacroft, Leeds. You will play a key role in supporting the production and distribution of world-renowned personal care products, ensuring efficient material intake and dispatch of finished goods.

Key Details:

Location: 96 Coal Road, Seacroft, Leeds, LS14 2AR.

Pay: £17.64 per hour

Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (2 days 07:00–19:00, 2 nights 19:00–07:00, then 4 days off)

Assessment: Successful candidates will complete an FLT assessment and health screening, including drugs & alcohol testing.
