Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking a trained FLT Driver for a night-shift position at the Avonmouth depot. You will operate a forklift, unload 2–3 trailers, palletise and reload for morning dispatch, and complete warehouse paperwork.

Candidates must hold a valid counterbalance FLT licence, have solid warehouse experience, and be reliable with a willingness to work permanent night shifts. Own transport is preferred due to depot location.

This FLT Driver role in Bristol operates from the Avonmouth depot on a night shift, starting at 9:00 PM and typically finishing between 6:00 AM and 6:30 AM. Offered on a temporary basis through Manpower UK, the position pays up to £17.60 per hour with an immediate start available.

Duties include safely operating a forklift truck, unloading two to three articulated trailers each shift, marking up and organising pallets, then reloading vehicles for morning dispatch. The worker rotates between truck operation and associated warehouse paperwork. Applicants should hold a valid counterbalance licence and demonstrate solid experience in busy distribution settings. Reliability, accuracy and commitment to safe working practices are essential for this ongoing assignment.

Requirements

• Essential: Valid FLT Licence (Counterbalance preferred).
• Previous FLT and warehouse experience.
• Ability to work permanent night shifts.
• Own transport due to shift times and depot location.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Profile and FLT Licence required before placement.

Desirable

• Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Experience moving/shunting trailers.
• Training: Candidates without a Class 2 licence may be considered and can receive basic shunting training.
