Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is looking for a reliable Loading Chargehand to support a busy warehouse team in Wakefield. You’ll assemble, scan and load orders safely, keep the despatch area organised, and work closely with production and loading teams.

Key duties include operating a Counterbalance FLT to move stock, checking labels and quantities, processing despatch paperwork and maintaining clean, safe work areas. The role requires attention to detail and a right-first-time approach, with training

Job description

Location: Wakefield Hours: Monday–Friday, 6am–2pm Pay Rate: £13.89 per hour

Our client is looking for a reliable LoadingChargehand to support their busy warehouse team.You’ll be responsible for assembling, scanning and loading orders safely and accurately, keeping the despatch area organised, and working closely with production and loading teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and load orders safely and in the correct sequence
• Operate a Counterbalance FLT to move stock and support loading
• Follow all loading and scanning procedures
• Check product labels, packaging and quantities
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the warehouse and loading bays
• Liaise with Production and Shift Leaders to keep workflow on track
• Process despatch paperwork
• Handle returns, book into systems and organise rework or stock placement
• Follow all Health & Safety and PPE requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong attention to detail and a “right first time” approach
• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Willingness to complete training and follow safe working procedures

What’s on Offer:

• Fixed day shift, Monday–Friday
