Job summary

Driver Hire Crewe are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our client's busy Middlewich warehouse. You will predominantly pick orders using a laser-guided VNA truck and assist with the day-to-day running of the operation.

This permanent position offers temp-to-perm progression for the right candidate, with a Monday–Friday 08:30–17:00 shift and a genuine opportunity to secure permanent employment after a successful temporary period.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Reach Truck or Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Experience operating VNA trucks or High Level Order Pickers (HLOP) would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to duties and working hours.

Responsibilities

• Picking and preparing orders using a laser-guided VNA truck (training provided).
• Operating Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently.
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required.
• Ensuring orders are picked accurately and within required timescales.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for order picking using a laser-guided Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) truck, alongside supporting other day-to-day warehouse operations.
