Job summary

Oakley Recruitment Limited in Lichfield is seeking an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join a well-established family-run business on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will operate an Aisle Master/Pivot forklift, replenish stock using a handheld scanner, and work Mon-Fri from 12:00pm to 8:00pm with an on-site parking facility and overtime opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• Holding a valid Bendi/Pivot forklift truck licence.
• Demonstrated experience operating a forklift in a warehouse.
• Comfortable using computer software and handheld scanners.
• Good level of English with strong communication skills.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Physically fit for a demanding role.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
• Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate Aisle Master/Pivot forklift safely in a busy warehouse.
• Use computer software to create stock replenishment lists.
• Move, adjust and replenish stock using handheld scanners.
• Load and organise shelving in line with health and safety.
• Report damaged stock and discrepancies.
• Work safely around colleagues picking and putting away stock.
• Take care operating forklift in active warehouse areas.
• Support wider warehouse operations to meet daily targets.
• Work overtime when required to support operations.

Job description

Are you an experienced Forklift Truck Driver with a Pivot/Bendi licence looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday opportunity? Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established, family-run business based in Lichfield. This is an excellent opportunity to join the warehouse team as a Forklift Truck Driver on a full-time, permanent basis.

You’ll be joining a busy warehouse environment where teamwork, accuracy and safety are important. The role involves working closely with the wider warehouse team to ensure stock is replenished, moved and stored safely while helping the operation run efficiently.

Personality

We’re looking for someone hardworking, reliable and safety-conscious who is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You’ll need to be physically fit due to the demands of the role, confident working under pressure and able to process information accurately while working around other members of the warehouse team.

Job Role

• Operating an Aisle Master/Pivot forklift truck safely within a busy warehouse

Skills and Experience

• Holding a valid Bendi/Pivot forklift truck licence
• Demonstrating previous experience operating a forklift within a warehouse environment
• Being confident using computer software and handheld scanners
• Possessing strong communication skills and a good standard of English due to the volume of information processed within the role
• Maintaining a high level of awareness and attention to health and safety
• Being physically fit and comfortable undertaking a physically demanding role
• Working effectively under pressure and meeting required targets
• Demonstrating a hardworking, reliable and team-focused approach
