Job summary

OJ Digital is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Warehouse Operative for its Thame, Oxfordshire distribution operation. You will work across the transport yard and warehouse, supporting the morning pallet network with hands-on forklift duties.

Ideal candidates have warehouse/distribution/transport experience, a Counterbalance Forklift licence (advantageous), and a strong focus on Health & Safety. The role is a busy, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution, logistics or transport environment.
• Current Counterbalance Forklift licence is highly advantageous.
• Experience loading/unloading vehicles or handling palletised freight is beneficial.
• Comfortable working in a busy hands-on warehouse and yard environment.
• Confident using basic computerised warehouse or logistics systems.
• Reliable, flexible and a good team player with strong Health & Safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Move and collect freight between the warehouse, yard and vehicles.
• Scan and label incoming pallets accurately.
• Ensure freight is allocated to the correct vehicles.
• Identify and resolve labelling or allocation issues.
• Use warehouse and pallet network systems.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, colleagues, depots and customers.
• Support the wider transport and warehouse operation as required.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety.

The Role

OJ Digital is recruiting an experienced Forklift Operator / Warehouse Operative for an established distribution business based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

You’ll work across the transport yard and warehouse, supporting the morning pallet network operation. This is a hands-on position involving forklift operations, loading and unloading vehicles, preparing freight for delivery and supporting the wider transport team.

We’re looking for someone who already has experience working within a warehouse, distribution, logistics or transport environment and can quickly become a productive member of the operation.

• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently
• Move and collect freight between the warehouse, yard and vehicles
• Scan and label incoming pallets accurately
• Ensure freight is allocated to the correct vehicles
• Identify and upscale any labelling, scanning or allocation issues
• Use warehouse and pallet network systems
• Communicate effectively with drivers, colleagues, depots and customers
• Support the wider transport and warehouse operation as required
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety
• Previous experience within a warehouse, distribution, logistics or transport environment
• Ideally, experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift
• A current Counterbalance Forklift licence is highly advantageous
• Experience loading and unloading vehicles or handling palletised freight would be beneficial
• Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on warehouse and yard environment
• Confident using basic computerised warehouse or logistics systems
• Reliable, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Good communication skills and a strong approach to Health & Safety
• 45 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Hours between approximately 6:30am and 4:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break
• 22 days' annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
