Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is recruiting for a FLT Operative to work night shifts at Beckton (E6 6LF). You will operate Reach or Counterbalance forklift trucks to move stock, load and unload vehicles, and support warehouse operations.

Pay rate starts at £15.35 per hour, rising to £18.24 after 13 weeks. The role requires a valid external FLT licence, RTITB qualification, and a strong commitment to health and safety within a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Valid external FLT licence (external, not in-house).
• Industrial Reach Lift Truck or Counterbalance Lift Truck experience.
• Recognised RTITB FLT qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous FLT experience.
• Good awareness of Health & Safety.
• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT trucks safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Move stock around the warehouse.
• Complete picking and put-away tasks.
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks.
• Use warehouse systems including scanners and EWM.
• Follow Health & Safety and site procedures at all times.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Collaborate with Production and Warehouse teams.
• Support continuous improvement activities across site.

FLT Operative - Reach or Counterbalance

Location: Beckton, E6 6LF

Pay rate: £15.35 per hour then £18.24 after 13 weeks

Contract: Temp ongoing

Shifts: Monday to Thursday 10pm-6am, Friday 8pm-3am

The FLT Driver will be responsible for safely operating Reach or Counterbalance forklift trucks to move stock, load and unload vehicles, and support warehouse operations during the night shift. The role requires working safely, following warehouse procedures, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and accuracy.

What you'll be doing:

• Operate FLT trucks safely and efficiently
• Load and unload vehicles
• Move stock around the warehouse
• Complete picking and put-away tasks
• Carry out daily vehicle and safety checks
• Use warehouse systems including scanners and EWM
• Follow Health & Safety and site procedures at all times
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and follow 5S principles
• Work closely with the Production and Warehouse teams
• Support continuous improvement activities across site

What you'll bring:

• Valid external FLT licence - no in house
• Industrial Reach Lift Truck or Counterbalance Lift Truck experience
• Recognised RTITB FLT qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous FLT experience
• Good awareness of Health & Safety
• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (or equivalent, any grade)

• Racking experience is desirable
• Double handler experience is not essential but preferred
• Warehousing qualifications such as NVQs is not required but preferred
