Unknown site in Ashford is seeking a Cleaning Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy operation. The role combines cleaning tasks with FLT driving, offering ongoing work with a route to permanent employment.

The position requires a valid Counterbalance FLT licence, prior FLT experience, and the ability to work in a rotating shift pattern, including nights. Temporary initially, with a potential permanent role after 12 weeks for the right candidate.

Cleaning Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver

Location: Ashford

Pay: £14.66 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Contract: Temporary initially, with the opportunity to become permanent

We're currently recruiting for Cleaning Operatives / FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy site in Ashford.

This is a hands-on role combining cleaning duties with Counterbalance FLT driving, offering ongoing work with the potential to move into a permanent position.

The role

You'll be responsible for helping to maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment, alongside carrying out FLT Counterbalance duties as required.

The role is initially temporary, with the opportunity to transfer into a permanent position after 12 weeks for the right person.

Shift Pattern

This is a rotating shift pattern, working:

• 2 weeks: 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 2 weeks: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• 2 weeks: 10:00pm - 6:00am

The night shift runs Monday to Thursday only, but you will be paid for a full 37.5-hour week.

The shift pattern then rotates back to the early shift.

What we're looking for

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT
• Experience working in a cleaning, warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment
• Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights
• Reliable and punctual
• Good understanding of health and safety
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• A practical, hands-on approach to work

What's on offer?

• £14.66 per hour
• 37.5 hours paid per week
• Night shift: Monday-Thursday, 10pm-6am, with a full week paid
